Four people shot in DC 8-year-old injured, 1 man dead

According to a spokesperson from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), the shooting happened just before 6 p.m. in the 6200 block of Georgia Avenue, near the intersection of Sheridan Street.

During a press conference Tuesday night, DC Police Chief Robert Contee said the victims were standing around a car on Georgia Avenue when a silver or gray SUV stopped in traffic.
Two suspects reportedly got out of the car and opened fire on the group of men.
