WFP running out of money Millions in Yemen will see their scarce food rationing cut next month, as the UN’s food program claims there’s still a $1.7BN shortfall in aid.In March, UN chief Antonio Guterres appealed for $3.85 billion for Yemen this year, but only half of that has been raised so far.
UNICEF head Henrietta Fore claims 11.3MN Yemeni kids need aid to survive, with 2.3MN under-fives already acutely malnourished.
That’s as multi-billion-dollar deals lined the pockets of those selling weapons to Saudi Arabia – as Riyadh waged war in Yemen.
