Couple was arrested after six children were found living inside a storage unit in Milwaukee

Charles Dupriest and Azyia Zielinski were hit with child neglect charges after bystanders heard the youngsters crying inside the padlocked unit.
Azyia Zielinski, 26, appeared in court incredibly emotional and crying. She is charged with six counts of child neglect.
Charles Dupriest, 33, is charged with one count of possession of a firearm by a felon and six counts of child neglect
Authorities said six children were found living inside a storage unit after a 911 call reported a child crying inside a locked unit.
Firefighters cut a padlock to open the storage unit where they found the children ages 9, 7, 5, 3, 2 and also a 2-month-old.
Inside the storage unit was a twin mattress without any bedsheets, a sectional sofa and a bucket that the children used as a toilet, according to authorities.
Authorities said the only light inside came from the crack of the garage door.
Investigators found the parents sleeping in a Ford Expedition in the parking lot with their dog.
One of the children told police, “She was upset the dog got to sleep in the car while she and her siblings slept in the unit.”
