CISA urges US organizations to strengthen defense against data-wiping attacks
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has urged US-based organizations to prepare for data-wiping attacks compared to ones targeting the Ukrainian government and businesses. (Bleeping Computer)
Coordinated attacks hit Ukraine government agencies and some businesses last Friday resulting in sites being defaced and causing Windows devices to become inoperable.
Ukraine has blamed Russia for the attacks, but some security experts have attributed them to Ghostwriter, a group of hackers with ties to Belarus.
