China’s military engaged in “brain control” warfare research which “paralyzes and controls opponents”
The US has sanctioned China’s Academy of Military Medical Sciences and a further 11 affiliated research institutions which are researching “purported brain-control weaponry.”
The Commerce Dept. which enacted the sanctions, did not specifically detail the weapons’ capabilities but a 2019 report shows China is hoping the tech will “paralyze and control the opponent.”
No US firms are permitted to export or transfer goods to the banned institutes without a license.
