Body of an unidentified man was discovered in Chicago River
The body of an unidentified man was discovered Thursday morning in the Chicago River on the Near East Side.
According to police, the body was discovered around 10:30 a.m., and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The body was recovered by marine units near the Columbus Drive bridge in Streeterville.
Area detectives are conducting a death investigation while an autopsy is being performed.
