Austria’s chancellory RAIDED as PM Kurz under CORRUPTION probe
Sebastian Kurz is under investigation over claims government money was used in a corrupt deal to ensure positive coverage in newspaper Oesterreich, authorities announced.
A statement on Wednesday from prosecutors said raids had been carried out in several locations, including two government ministries, as part of the probe and added Kurz, nine other individuals and three organizations are under investigation.
Kurz’s party dismissed the raid on its headquarters as “political staging” aimed at achieving a “show effect” to its standing.
