Philadelphia Police and Fire raced to the scene of a violent confrontation inside a rooming house on N. 10th Street. The moment officers arrived, a gunman opened fire, forcing police to declare an Active Shooter situation and take cover.
In the chaos, a resident jumped from a back window to escape, breaking his ankle. With crossfire preventing medics from reaching him, officers risked their own lives to lift the man to safety.
