A father of three was fatally shot after an alleged fight over a parking spot in a Target parking lot in Georgia.

On January 4, 2026, police say officers responded to a report of a shooting in the area of the Target in Savannah, Georgia. Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering multiple gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at a hospital.

The victim was identified as Matthew Traywick.

The suspect, 30-year-old Tyler Linn, was subsequently arrested and charged with murder and aggravated assault in connection with the shooting, according to the Savannah Police Department. Linn remained on scene following the incident.

In a Facebook post, Savannah Mayor Van Johnson claimed the shooting happened during an “alleged argument over a parking dispute.”
