Thursday afternoon in Chicago’s Calumet Heights area, a 38-year-old man was shot during an attempted robbery.
Police say the male victim met the unknown offender in the 9200 block of South Cregier Avenue at 12:56 p.m. before the suspect pulled out a weapon and demanded the victim’s stuff.
As the victim attempted to flee, the suspect opened fire, injuring the victim in the right arm and hand, according to authorities.
The victim was transferred in good condition to Trinity Hospital.
Nobody was reported to be detained.
The probe is still going on.
