2 hurt, 3 dead in accident at Dilworth construction site, authorities say
It happened around 9 a.m. at a construction site on East Morehead Street, near Euclid Avenue, Charlotte Fire said.
MEDIC later confirmed two more people were taken to the hospital, but neither were seriously hurt.
Dozens of first responders, including Charlotte-Mecklenburg police and Charlotte Fire, were at the scene investigating. A CMPD crime scene investigation vehicle also remained at the scene.
No information about what happened was made immediately available.
Authorities are expected to provide an update later Monday morning.
