A 17-year-old boy was grazed while taking out trash in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood on Monday night.

Police say the victim was in the 1500 block of North Lorel Avenue at 9:50 p.m. when the incident occurred.

He told officers he was taking out the trash in the alley when he was shot at by someone in a car.

The victim self-transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital with a graze wound to the head.

There have been no arrests made. Detectives in the area are conducting an investigation.
