RawNews1st – According to fire officials, 12 people have been hospitalized as a result of a carbon monoxide leak at a church on Chicago’s South Side.
The Chicago Fire Department says it was called to the New Philadelphia Church shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday for reports of a gas smell.
When the fire department arrived at the church, they tested the air and discovered high levels of carbon monoxide.
According to firefighters, those injured were transported to two hospitals in good to serious condition.
