No law enforcement agents were injured in the shooting, according to Dallas police sources and Todd Lyons, acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
There is still a massive police presence at the scene. The Texas Department of Transportation cameras in the area showed dozens of police and emergency vehicles along the access road off I-35E.
As a result of the incident, parts of I-35E were shut down in both directions while officials responded to the scene. The northbound lane reopened around 8 a.m., according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
